Q13/068) Solve xy(x+y)=30 , x^3+y^3=35



We have
 
xy(x+y)=30… (1)
x^3+y^3=35 … (2)
x^3 + y^3 = (x+y)^3 – 3 xy (x+y) = (x+y)^3 – 3 * 30 = 35
 so (x+y)^3 = 125 => (x+y)= 5 .. (3)
from (1) and (3)
xy = 6 … (4)
solving (3) and (4)  (x,y) = (3,2) or (2,3)
